Singapore “Play&Earn” NFT Game Apeiron Announces Pre-Launch Funding
Foonie Magus, a Singapore-based gaming development company, has raised US$3 million in pre-seed funding for its NFT game Apeiron.
Apeiron is offering gameplay where players will act as “godlings” to help “doods”. Players can earn NFTs in the form of Planets, Stars, and Relics.
According to Apeiron, players will be able to exchange tokens earned from the game for “real cryptocurrency”.
“We believe that at the end of the day, games should be enjoyable and not work. Money and work tends to take the enjoyment out of entertainment experiences. We are gamers at heart…and our focus is on creating games with great gameplay, friendly social dynamics, and epic moments. Earning is secondary in the equation and more like a bonus that rewards dedication, skill and teamwork”, said Foonie Magus CEO Frank Cheng.
The game has a current FDV of US$50 million, with prominent gaming guilds like YGG SEA, Infinity Ventures Crypto, and GuildFi all purchasing in-game packs that include NFTs and guild tokens for scholars.
Apeiron’s first NFT presale is slated for the end of the first quarter of 2022, with the game set to launch in late 2022.
