Blockdaemon Becomes Latest Crypto Unicorn With USD 155M Series B Funding
Leading blockchain infrastructure platform Blockdaemon has raised USD 155 million in a Series B capital round led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2 at a valuation of USD 1.3 billion.
Seed investors such as Goldman Sachs and Kraken Ventures also boosted their investments in the fundraising round.
CEO and founder Konstantin Richter said the platform wants to “bring crypto and decentralised finance (DeFi) to a global mass-market in a regulated and compliant manner”.
The funds will be used to expand the company’s teams in Singapore, Japan, UK, and Germany.
Blockdaemon currently supports over 40 different blockchain networks including ETH 2.0, Bitcoin, and Solana.
The new valuation will make the platform the biggest blockchain infrastructure company for node management and staking.
